Cataract surgery is a vital ophthalmological procedure designed to restore vision impaired by a cloudy lens (cataract). Conducted under local anesthesia, the surgery involves a small incision through which the clouded lens is gently broken up and removed using advanced ultrasound technology called phacoemulsification.
