Dear all our attendees

Following the superb meeting in Rome, it is great to see the IOC go from strength to strength. The conference brings together a skilful mix of subjects and expertise, and the organising committee are to be congratulated on putting together what promises to be an enlightening and educating event. It is increasingly difficult to run an ophthalmology conference that covers all the different disease topics, as our training and practice become ever more subspecialised. Yet, the need to look outside our silo remains ever important, and the more we share information across our respective areas, the more there is to gain. Hence, this conference remains as relevant as ever, perhaps even more so. So, from the front to back of the eye, whether virtual or in person, I expect there will be much to learn and enjoy in Singapore.

Dear congress attendees

Dear congress visitors, it is an honor and pleasure to write a few welcome notes. Ophthalmic drugs development has made tremendous progress for the last two decades. Today vision research is continually being transformed by new information and technologies. Many molecular technics, including gene therapy and mRNA technology, make unprecedented progress, to move forward to access to efficient innovative therapies to patients. Additionally, more advanced imaging modalities support our research. This opens new opportunities to prevent and treat blinding eye diseases. The IOC 2026 Scientific Conference will bring eye and vision scientists, researchers, health care professionals, advocacy groups, and patients, all involved in the development of new therapies for ophthalmic diseases, and aims at promising discussions on the latest advancements in Ophthalmology. Please, join us to enrich these discussions!
