Biography:
Yihan Ethan Wu (Ethan) is a high school student at Concordia Shanghai with strong interests in synthetic biology and bio-medicine. He has gained biomedical research experience in the past by working as summer intern at a couple of biotechnology companies, such as UgeneX and SIMR Bio. He received a national silver medal at HOSA 2024 competing in the Health Education category and was awarded a silver medal at the iGEM 2024 Jamboree, where his team was also nominated for Best Presentation for their project on upcycling PET plastic into beta-hydroxybutyrate using engineered microbial pathways.
