Eye Fatigue

Eye Fatigue

Eye fatigue, or asthenopia, is a prevalent issue marked by discomfort and strain in the eyes. It typically arises from extended periods of activities requiring intense visual focus, such as reading, computer use, or driving. Common symptoms include eye discomfort, blurry vision, dryness, headaches, and trouble concentrating. Factors contributing to eye fatigue include inadequate lighting, glare, improper viewing distances, and uncorrected vision issues. To alleviate symptoms, it's helpful to follow the 20-20-20 rule: every 20 minutes, take a 20-second break to look at something 20 feet away. Ensuring good lighting, minimizing screen glare, and using ergonomic setups can also help. Regular eye check-ups are crucial for identifying and addressing any vision problems that may contribute to eye strain.
