Biography:
Dr. S’ad Shaikh is a resident doctor at Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust in the United Kingdom, with a strong interest in ophthalmology and global health equity. His research interests include access barriers to advanced ophthalmic therapies, undergraduate ophthalmic education, and the integration of cutting-edge therapeutics into equitable clinical pathways. He has previously presented research on improving foundation doctor confidence in ophthalmic emergencies and on cost barriers to UK ophthalmology training. He aims to pursue a career in academic ophthalmology and is committed to bridging the gap between scientific innovation and clinical accessibility worldwide.
