Biography:
Dr. Abeba Tesfay Gessesse is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Mekelle University in Tigray, Ethiopia. She earned her MD from Mekelle University and later specialized in ophthalmology at Addis Ababa University, gaining extensive training in both clinical care and surgical procedures. Dr. Abeba has served in various academic and clinical roles, including coordinating graduate programs in her department. Passionate about community service, her research interests focus on community ophthalmology and pediatric eye care. She is deeply committed to improving access to eye care for underserved populations.
